The Friend’s of St. Martin’s Church (Arts and Crafts Church) Marple, spent a day in Middleton on Saturday 5th August, starting at St. Leonard’s Parish Church in the morning before visiting Long St. Methodist and a tour of the Conservation Area and the Edgar Wood buildings in the afternoon.
Several of the group had lunch in the Old Boars and were complimentary about the cuisine and the building. Others had a picnic in Long St. and were equally complimentary about the hospitality.
Following a look around the Church and School Rooms the rain had cleared and the group set off for their tour of the Conservation Area, led by Christine.
