Edgar Wood Society

Welcome to our new website! We are an enthusiastic community who enjoy Arts & Crafts buildings and furniture. We came together in 2011 to support the research and conservation of Edgar Wood’s historic buildings, garden suburbs, furniture and artwork as well as those of his contemporaries who joined him in the Northern Art Workers Guild.

FCCS 28We are dedicated to:

  • Promoting the works of Edgar Wood and highlighting his role in the Arts & Crafts movement
  • Restoring and reusing our base, the Arts & Crafts Church, Edgar Wood’s masterpiece in Middleton, Manchester
  • Hosting a programme of events, workshops and visits to places of interest

The best way to get involved is to become a member: this gives access to lectures, trips and events and to a research group which regularly comes up with new discoveries.

Annual membership is £15 for individuals and £25 for families.

If you would like to join or contact the society, please see our membership page.
