Society members enjoyed a day out in Liverpool. They all came back smiling after visiting Ullet Road Unitarian Church, Sefton Park and Sudley House. A visit to this beautiful church at Ullet Rd (built 1896-1902) is highly recommended. This Arts and Crafts masterpiece shows craftsmanship of excellence, whether the masonry, woodwork or metalwork, from the font to the door handles. Some of the best artists and craftsmen of the period were employed in its construction and it was paid for by the wealthiest in Liverpool.
